The hotel is well-located in downtown Sonora, making it convenient for exploring the area. The rooms are in need of some updates but are acceptable for a short stay. The service from the staff was professional and friendly. The dining experience had its shortcomings, but the location offers great access to shops and restaurants.

The hotel had a really excellent location, right in downtown Sonora, near the town village and directly to Yosemite. However, it lacked sufficient lighting in the rooms and could have had more breakfast options. There were also some druggy types in the back area, which made it a little scary at times.
Rooms

The location was convenient for exploring the town, although some areas were not well-maintained. The dining experience was basic and in an unusual location. Overall, a mixed experience with some positives and negatives.

6.2/10
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms facing the main avenue were much nicer compared to my previous visit. Unfortunately, they were quite loud past 1 am, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Despite that, I had no issues with the check-in process. The rooms would benefit from new bedspreads to freshen up the space.
Rooms

The rooms facing the main avenue were a lot nicer than the last time I stayed there, but they were loud past 1 am and the beds were very uncomfortable. I also had trouble getting into both rooms even after check-in time.
Service
8.0
The service was good overall. The staff proactively informed me about a road closure due to my flight from San Francisco that evening. They were friendly, helpful, and polite throughout my stay.
Location
5.0
The location was a bit of a mix. It offered a view of what was the Xmas parade on the main drag, which was nice. However, the vicinity was marred by cigarette butts outside the door and litter like a hypodermic needle casing, soda cans, and broken glass in the nearby parking lot.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was lackluster. The breakfast was subpar, more like a snack than a meal. The options were insufficient and limited, mainly consisting of cereal, milk, and some apples.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were okay, nothing outstanding. They could use some improvement to enhance the overall guest experience.

However, the room I first got was barely adequate, with some safety concerns and cleanliness issues outside the door. The location was convenient for accessing local amenities and shops, but the presence of questionable items nearby affected the overall impression.
